A life size study of Hawthorn leaves, falling in the wind.
 
The leaves are made from recycled paper and painted with water colours and inks to create their autumnal colours. Wires are sandwiched through the middle of the leaves to create their crinkled shapes and wire and paper mache stalks are attached to the bottom. The leaves have been mounted on wires so they appear to be floating in the frame.
 
The frames are handmade for each display from solid wood and glass. This particular frame has been made from Ash wood and lightly oiled. It has a wire on the back so it will hang from a wall.
 
In order to keep your piece looking its best, hang it away from direct sunlight and avoid areas where there is a lot of moisture such as in a bathroom.
